Updates June 26, 2020

As of June 26, 2020 Restore Illinois will be entering into Phase 4 and this will allow the Niles Park District to open some of its facilities for our residents and offer additional programming. There will still be some restrictions along with safety measures that will need to be done while using our facilities and programs. We will be requiring the wearing of masks when entering our facilities and of course adhering to social distancing. Below are the facilities and programming that we will be offering.

Golf View Fitness Equipment
Working out at Golf View is back! Starting Friday, June 26 the fitness center at Golf View will open for fitness members only. We are happy to once again provide you with a safe and healthy experience. You must make reservations to reserve your workouts, please call 847-967-1529 to book your spot today.

Tam Golf Course
The golf course will now be allowed to have foursomes every 12 minutes. Golf carts are permitted and individuals that are not members of the same household shall use individual carts. Please call 847-965-2344 or go to www.golftam.com to book your tee time. Howard Street Inn is now open for outside and inside dining.

Tam Tennis
Tam Tennis is open seven days a week. Players will be able to play singles or doubles. Players will be required to bring your own racquet and tennis balls. Locker rooms will not be available and we ask all players to leave the facility after playing. Reservation can be made by calling 847-967-1400.

Fitness Classes
The Niles Park District will be offering outdoor fitness classes at Oak Park in the month of July. A list of classes will be posted on the district website. Please call 847-967-6633 to reserve your spot. All classes will have a maximum of 12 participants all requiring preregistration with no walkups or day of registration. One on One training will be by appointment only.

Summer Camps
Our summer camps will run from July 6-August 14. While camp will be different this year, many of the fun activities kids are used to experiencing will remain such as arts and crafts, non-contact sports, and in house special events. Seeing familiar faces of the park staff and making friends with other campers will also be the highlight of the camp experience.

Virtual Programming
The Niles Park District is offering a wide variety of virtual programs this summer! Registration for Virtual Programs can be made by calling 847-967-6633. Virtual programs allow you to attend Park District programs with your favorite instructors from the comfort of your own home. Participants can interact, communicate, view and discuss, and engage with instructors and other participants all in an online setting.

Youth Sports
The Niles Park District will be offering youth sports programs during Phase 4 classes will have a maximum of 15 participants all requiring preregistration with no walkups or day of registration. Drills, practices, and lessons that do not involve contact between individuals and allow for 6-ft of social distancing to be maintained (no competitive games allowed). Playgrounds & Parks
• Tennis and Pickleball locations throughout the district are open with restrictions. Single and doubles play is now available.
• All grass and baseball fields are open for programming, permitted practices, and social recreation.
• Basketball courts are now available.

Playgrounds
- Do not visit Park District facilities or playgrounds if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
- Equipment is not sanitized, please use hand sanitizer before and after using the playground.
- State guidelines limit playground use to 50 people at any given time.
- Please maintain 6 ft. social distance from non-family members while playing.
- Face coverings are required when 6 ft. social distance cannot be maintained.

Pioneer Park
The batting cages and mini golf at Pioneer Park are now open. The hours of the facility are 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. seven days a week. Customers are required to bring their own helmets to use in batting cages.  Masks are required to be worn at the customer service windows, but are not required outdoors if proper social distancing is being practiced,

Iceland Ice Arena
Iceland is now offering learn to skate classes and hockey classes. They also have hours for open skate. Check our website, www.niles-parks.org for programs and open skate times. You can also call Iceland at 847-297-8010.
