The basics of soccer will be covered throughout this 4 week program. Basic soccer skills will be covered in these soccer academies and above all, how to have fun while becoming a passionate soccer player. All players are encouraged to participate as Coach Halsema will make sure you are challenged according to your current skill level. 4 week academy. Monday, May 27 class will be held on June 3 due to Memorial Day holiday.

Boys & Girls Ages 8-14
In this 4-week class, we will teach each participant the basics of playing the goalkeeper position in soccer. Getting to roll around on the ground and keep the ball out the goal is the best part of being a goalkeeper. This class will be inside at the LoVerde Center so long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Level 2 must complete Level 1 or have pre-approval to enroll.

Advanced Soccer Summer Soccer Academy
Boys & Girls Ages 8-12
This inaugural summer soccer will be for the advanced player looking to take its game to the next level. We will run training sessions to focus on the four pillars of the game (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Mental) to help each individual improve. Each training session will be designed to include each pillar and end with small sided games to make sure everything being taught is applied to in game practicality. This academy is not for beginners and is designed for players who have played organized soccer and looking to take the next step. Approval through the soccer director will be needed. Boys & Girls Ages 6-10
This will be an 8 week academy. Kids will come to play 3v3 games and learn the art of spacing, moving with and without the ball, and playing under pressure. Kids will get an amazing amount of touches on the ball all while developing their technical skills and start to learn the tactical side of the game. This is not a beginner class and kids looking to register should have some experience playing the game of soccer. Approval through the soccer director is needed to enroll in this class. Summer Soccer Camp

Summer Soccer Camp will be one week long and offered during three different weeks this summer. We will have instruction on all phases of soccer as well as games to learn how to apply what you have learned. T-shirt and soccer ball will be provided to all participants. Session 4 will be an advanced session of soccer camp for kids who have excperience playing the game. Prior approval will be needed for this camp from the soccer director. Chicago Fire Soccer Camp

Chicago Fire Summer Camps are the only camps throughout the Midwest (IL, WI, MI, IN and IA) that are operated by a professional soccer club. All Fire camps will follow a curriculum specifically designed by soccer experts to meet the needs of youth soccer players of all ages and abilities. Chicago Fire Soccer In the Community Philosophy: Create a fun and challenging atmosphere where children are able to learn and grow through the game of soccer.
Soccer in the Community takes a holistic approach to player development. The first half of our camps are skill mastery focused with the soccer ball at the players' feet. From here, the player will follow a path focused on technique and skill development, which will progress into tactical 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and small sided games as competencty increases.
Additionally, all campers will receive a free ticket to attend a Chicago Fire soccer game at SeatGeek Stadium.

Little Sparks Soccer Camp

Little Sparks is the Chicago Fire's introduction to soccer program where children and parents can take their first steps in soccer together! Specifically designed for children ages 2-5 and using the fun of play and imaginative stories, Little Sparks facilitates a child's physical, mental, social and emotional development through the game of soccer. Little Sparks uses three key principals (experimental play, creative learning, holistic activity) to build an environment for children to learn and explore diferent outcomes associated with soccer and self-development. Parents play too! Little Sparks is unique in that it incorporates mom and dad into the child's learning experience. With the support of mom and dad, children are able to truly be comfortable and express themselves in order to maximize each session.

1v1 Specialist Series

This will be a 4-week class that will revolve around developing 1v1 skills for the individual. 1v1 skills are a vital part of the game of soccer. We will focus on moves and abilities to beat the opponent from head on, the side, and from behind. We will also implement 1v1 games into this class in order to get players comfortable executing the moves they have learned in game situations.

Adult Co-Ed Soccer League
18 & Over
This league will be a maximum of 7 teams with a minimum of 4 teams needed to run the league. Play will consist of 8v8 games on a 66 x 32 yard field. Teams will need to have a minimum of 3 females on the field at all times. 10-week game schedule with overall standings determining the league champion.

Fall Soccer League
Boys & Girls Grade Pre K-8 (as of Sept. 1)
The program is designed to provide a fun and safe environment, teach the game of soccer, promote social interaction and teach team concepts. Soccer develops individual skills and teamwork and is vigorous and continuous exercise for the young athlete. Uniform will be an additional cost. Universal reversible jerseys will be used for all NPD Soccer Leagues year round. The participant must purchase soccer spikes and leg guards. This league is for recreational soccer players. Club soccer players should not register for Niles Park District recreational soccer. We are always looking for volunteer coaches. Registration deadline is August 8. COACH PACKET.

Niles Park District is now offering private sessions for the serious soccer player who is looking to get 1 on 1 attention to further their soccer game. Topics for private sessions will be geared towards the individuals wants and needs by our Director of Soccer, Jeff Halsema. Each private training session will be 1 hour long and can be set up according to the individual schedule. Coach Halsema brings over 15 years of coaching experience at the club and college levels to help you attain your desired goals.
Private Training Session Fees:
$50 per one hour session
$175 for four one hour sessions
