Summer Camp 2

Chicago Comedy Film Festival offers a variety of educational classes and staff has a strong background in both the visual arts and theater arts.  They have taught at Sarah Hall Theater Company, Columbia College Chicago, The Second City Chicago, DePaul University, Evanston High School and After School Matters.

Comedy Improv
Ages 7-10
Calling all young comedians! If your young one is making you laugh at home or just loves to be in front of the crowd this is the class for them. Come learn improvisational comedy! Through fun games and exercises we will work on collaboration, listening, and how to be your best funny self. Camp includes a t-shirt and a final showcase on Friday, July 27 at 11:00 am.

Come learn improvisational comedy! In this comedy improv camp we will learn improv games and focus on some short form scene work! This class is open to the novice or to those with some experience. Whether you have done improv and you want to do it again or you just want to have fun and try something new, this camp is for you! Camp includes a t-shirt and a final showcase on Friday, July 27 at 3:00 pm.

Comedy Television Stars
Ages 7-12 (2nd Grade reading level required)
Gotta knack for performing in front of your family and friends? Do you love making people laugh? Wanna be on TV someday?! Come be a part of our Comedy Television Stars camp! Students will be assigned roles a comedy television episode. We will work on comedy acting technique, what actually happens on a comedy television set, and how to put it all together for a LIVE TV AUDIENCE (your family and friends). This class requires reading at a second grade level and will involve moderate to heavy memorization. The assignment of roles will be handled by the instructor after the first two days of class. Final LIVE TV showcase at 3:30 pm on Friday, August 17.
