SUMMER JUNIOR CLASSES
June 9-August 1  (Mon-Thurs: 8 weeks, Fri: 7 weeks)

Junior Class Descriptions:

Squirts (Level .5):  Ages 4 only, who are just getting started.
Quick Starters (Level 1):  Players just starting to play tennis.
Hot Shots (Level 2):  Player has little experience playing tennis, needs stroke development.  Player is still working on getting the ball into play and is learning game scoring and rules.
Future Stars (Level 3):  Can sustain a short rally at slow pace with other players of similiar ability.  Strokes are still developing, knows game rules of tennis.
Future Stars (Level 3.5):  Can sustain a short rally at slow pace with other players of similiar ability.  Strokes are still developing, knows game rules of tennis.  Has minimial tournament experience or moved from Level 3 by coach.
Challengers (Level 4.5):  Player has improved consistently with medium pace and is developing ability to control directions of the ball.  This level may play lower level tournaments and junior varsity high school.
Champions (Level 5):  Level is required to possess consistent ground strokes with depth and directional control.  Has control of serves, use of lobs, overheads, approach shots, and volleys.  Individual can compete at high school varsity level.

SUMMER ADULT CLASSES
June 9-August 1 (8 weeks)

Adult Class Descriptions:
Mixed Advanced Beginners (Level 2.0-2.5):  A co-ed class for players who have already developed some fundamental skills and can keep the ball in play with some consistency.  Designed for players who are ready to learn volleys, strategy and shot placement, and are comfortable keeping score.

Summer concerts are back at Oak Park!  Pack up the lawn chairs and blankets, bring your family and a picnic.  Join us as the park comes alive for free summer concerts Friday evenings!  Oak Park Summer Concert Series Sponsored by Niles Park District & Village of Niles.

Chicago Catz
At the heart of the Chicago Catz beats a 70's club band.  With roots to bands with names like Third Rail, Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows, Heavy Manners, Maxx Traxx, Wrecking Crew, Amusement Park, Joyful Noise and THEM, the Chicago Catz are the quentessential super tight, experienced, elite, funky party/dance band.

High School Basketball League
Freshman, Sophomore & Varsity Divisions- Register by team only!

Our High School Basketball League is for those boys & girls who want to play competitive basketball in an organized setting.  All players will receive a team t-shirt and play 8 games.  A parent is required to always be present and on the team bench.  Registration is done by team only.  No games June 15.  Registration deadline is May 16.

Summer Weeknight Rookie Ball
Boys & Girls Ages 5-7

This league is for those ready to move on from the batting tee and move to live pitching.  Volunteer coaches needed.  Your son or daughter will learn the fundamentals of the game.  All participants will receive a team t-shirt and hat.  Players are responsible for their own helmet and glove.  At least one season of T-Ball is recommeneded.  Registration deadline is May 30.  Space is limited to 72 kids.

DANCE CLASSES WITH MISS DAWN
No class June 17, 18, 19, July 1, 2, 3

Ballet/Tap:  Ages 3-5- Combination class introducing ballet & tap.  This class will focus on correct technique and terminology, address grace and poise, and review rhythm and style. Ages 6-10- Combination class progressing with ballet & tap.  This class will teach more solid ballet technique, improve upon quicker steps, and introduce more complex choreography. 
Girls Attire: Leotard, tights, tap shoes, ballet shoes, optional skirt or tutu.  Boys Attire: Black pants, white t-shirt, dance shoes.
Hip Hop:  Ages 7-11.  While listening to appropriate upbeat music, dancers will be learning energizing blended jazz and hip hop choreography.  Attire: Comfortable stretchy clothes or dancewear.  No jeans.  Clean/dry sneakers, jazz shoes or socks.
Poms:  Ages 6-10.  Dancers will be learning high energy Poms choreography and concepts.  Attire: Comfortable stretchy clothes or dancewear.  No jeans  Clean/dry sneakers, jazz shoes or socks.

No class July 5

Ballet/Jazz-Intro for Teens:  Ages 12-18.  It's never too late to start dancing, even as a hobby!  Come learn the fundamentals of 2 popular movement genres and have fun in the process.
Creative Movement:  Ages 12-18. Bring your creative ideas (a painting, poem you've made or found, favorite books, monologue from plays, movies, tv, etc.)  Over the course of 9 weeks we will use these materials to build a collaborative movement piece as a class.  No experience needed, only a desire and willingness to create!
Adult Ballet/Jazz:  Ages 18+.  No experience required, just a creative way to exercise, work on flexibility and strength.
Jazz/Hip Hop:  Ages 7-11.  While listening to appropraite upbeat music, dancer will be learning energizing blended jazz and hip hop choreography.  Attire: comfortable stretchy clothes or dancewear.  No jeans.  Clean/dry sneakers, jazz shoes, or socks.

Grade 5-8 (as of 2024-2025 school year)

This league will be limited to team registration for the 5th/6th Grade Division and 7th/8th Grade Division.  Teams must have their own coach, a minimum of 8 players and a max of 14 players.  6 teams max per division.  Registration deadline is August 5.

Dance Camp
Ages 7-12

Let's dance this Summer!  Our dance instructor Trisha will work on a variety of dance genres, such as ballet, hip hop, and jazz.  Our days will consist of dancing in the studio, games, crafts, and much more!  Campers will need to bring a nut free lunch, snacks, and a drink daily.  Get ready for a learning and fun filled dance experience!  No prior dance experience is required.  Call 847-967-6633 for more information.

Musical Theatre Dance Camp
Ages 7-12 & 13-18
Tapping your foot along to 'Wicked', 'The Greatest Showman', and 'Hamilton'?  Join Trisha for a week of storytelling through dance to Tony Award winning musical numbers!  We explore styles ranging from soft shoe tap of the golden era, Fosse Jazz of the 70's, 80's and 90's, and modern jazz, rock and contemporary.  Each day will consist of dancing in the studio, games, annd activities to practice your personal creativity.  No prior dance experience required.
