Lights, Camera, Action- Make Your Own Superhero Movie
Ages 8-12

Villains won't stand a chance when we team up with your crime fighting Superheroes!  Join us as we summon writers, directors, and editors to make our own super movie.  Working in teams to create our own story and script, create your own background scenes and film your own movie using your own charaters, we'll help to stop crime in our movie city.  Min 7/Max 10.

Robot Engineers
Ages 7-12

This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming, and teamwork using the LEGO WeDo Robotics System, as students use an intuitive, icon-based programming environment, helping to bring their model to life.  Min 7/Max 10.

Summer Weeknight T-BALL
Boys & Girls Ages 4-5 years

This league will put an emphasis on developing hitting, fielding, and throwing for the beginner using a batting tee.  Each game day will be broken up into 15 minutes of instruction followed by a low key 2 inning game.  Volunteers are needed.  All participants will receive a team t-shirt and hat.  Players are responsible for their own helmet and glove.  Registration deadline is May 27.  Space is limited to 72 kids.

Sticky Fingers Cooking
Grade K-5

Your kids can have a blast every week discovering how easy and fun it is to cook tasty, healthy, globally inspired recipes.  Our interactive cooking classes incorporate STEAM, culture, language, geography, history and more.  Sticky Fingers Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes, master culinary skills and nourish their bodies and minds.  Our chef instructors bring all the ingredients, district approved equipment and supplies to lead an engaging, fun and interactive class.  All allergies are accommodated, and recipes are nut free.  Min 8/Max 12.

Boys & Girls Grade 4-7

We will develop fundamental volleyball skills while learning teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.  Skills taught include serving, passing, setting, hitting, and the rules of the game.  Scoring, serving, competition modifications are made as needed by group.  The focus of the class is to have fun, meet new friends and play volleyball.  All participants will receive a t-shirt.  Players should attend with a peanut free snack and water.  Max of 24 per class.

Fall Leagues ($30 Pay Per Win)- Register by team only!Ages 18 & Over
Returning Fall teams from last year will have top priority to reclaim their spot.  The deadline for all applications is Monday, July 27.  Please be advised fees and teams will not be accepted after the deadline.

YOUTH SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE- Boys & Girls Grade 2-8

Sign up as a team or individual.  All teams will play 10 games.  Some grade levels may be combined depending on enrollment.  The 2-3 grade leagues play on mini courts on lowered rims.  The 4-8 grade leagues play on full courts with 10-foot rims.  Practice time is limited throughout the season and scheduled at the coach's discretion and gym availability.  Volunteer coaches are needed and we are very accommodating with your schedule.  Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 20.

LOCATION:  Golf View Rec Center, LoVerde Rec Center or Grennan Heights
GAME TIME:  Weekends 9:30 am-5:30 pm, Weeknights 5:00-10:00 pm
FEE:  Resident $126, Non-Res $179- Returning players from Winter 2026 who already have a reversible jersey
FEE:  Resident $139, Non-Res $192- New registrant, need a jersey
LATE FEE:  Registration submitted after May 20 will pay $25 late fee.  Return registration form to Golf View Rec Center.  Late registrations are not guaranteed spots on the team.

GIRL'S SOFTBALL- FALL LEAGUE

Grade 1-8 (as of the 2026-2027 school year)
We are offering 4 Girls Softball Leagues this Fall- Grade 7 & 8, Grade 5 & 6, Grade 3 & 4, Grade 1 & 2.  Games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays.  Each girl will receive a jersey and visor.  You can sign up as a team or individual.  Your season will consist of at least 8 games.  Grade 5 & 6 and Grade 7 & 8 leagues will be divided into Travel and House divisions if enough teams register.  Registration deadline is July 10.

Register at Niles Park District for karate classes.  Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland's premier school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time Natonal Champion and President of the American Shotokan Association.

Beginner students will not be permitted to register into the current session after the second class has met.  Registration for continuers through advanced students will be accepted after the start date, but the full class fee is required. Uniform and belt testing are options available through the ISKC instructor.  Please note that the Youth and Adult classes may train together.

PRE-KARATE (Boys & Girls Ages 4-6)

Young children develop flexibility, strength and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities.  This program is specifically designed for growing minds and bodies to enhance memory and agility.  Watch your child's confidence blossom and their skills improve.  Class limit is 6.  No class July 20.

ISKC's Karate classes offer a good mix of strength training with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises.  Students increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills.  They also benefit from the mental stimulation of learning the choreographed moves of the kata and the discipline of conforming to the class rules.  Class limit is 10.  No class July 20.
